Auditions will be in 15-minute blocks, with two slots per block. Each auditioner is encouraged to come prepared with up to two monologues lasting up to 5 minutes. Remaining time will be spent discussing any relevant experience or potential conflict information with the production team. Click the link below to sign up for a time slot.

Callbacks

Callbacks are by director invitation only and will consist of cold readings from the script.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin in full on Sunday, January 5th, though we will likely have one or two in late December in a separate location. Beginning on the 5th, we will follow a standard Sunday-Thursday, 7-10 rehearsal schedule. The exact schedule will be based on actor conflicts. It will not be necessary for all actors to attend all rehearsals, but auditioners should try to keep conflicts to a minimum. With the exception of rehearsals prior to January 5th, all rehearsals will be at the Olathe Civic Theatre Association.

Note from the Director
I am looking for as diverse a cast as I can find, so we have roles for all ages, genders, ethnicities, and looks. Each of the roles require an ability with language, and most will require some form of dialect work. If that is something you have not done before, THAT IS OKAY! We’ll work with you to get there. There is some physical comedy, but by and large this is a play about words and the comedy comes from that.
Hesitant to give Shakespeare a try? Come out to our Shakespeare Workshop (designed for beginners with some Shakespeare experience but would be helpful for someone with no experience performing Shakespeare or those with heavy experience as well) on Saturday, November 23rd at OCTA. SYNOPSIS
Sir John Falstaff decides that a good way to earn a fortune would be to court two wealthy married women (Mistresses Ford and Page). Their husbands learn of this and seek to thwart these plans; plans that have no chance of working anyway since both women find Falstaff less than desirable. Meanwhile, Anne Page is being courted by three men (Dr. Caius, Fenton, and Slender) each preferred by one member of her family. All of the various romantic pursuits end up going horribly wrong in some way.
