Lauren Crane Ryan is a Kansas City performer and preschool teacher navigating the mayhem of motherhood.

Kansas City’s thriving theatre community has been the gift that keeps on giving since Lauren moved to the area in 2011. When her best friend and former board member, Kat Ruprecht encouraged her to consider a spot on OCTA’s board of directors after the birth of her son, Lauren jumped at the chance. She officially joined in the fun at the start of the 2023-2024 season.

Originally from Dayton, OH, Lauren attended Indiana Wesleyan University and received degrees in Communication and Theatre Performance/Management, with a concentration in Public Relations. She resides in the Waldo/Brookside area with her husband, Andy and future OCTA board member, Cole.
