Rebekah Grieb

Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator

OCTA volunteer coordinator and secretary Rebekah Grieb, wearing a gold necklace, brown blazer and white shirt with brown hair, parted with the right side over the shoulder and left side behind.

After graduating from Pittsburg State University, Rebekah immediately found a home at OCTA where she participated in her first non-school productions, both as production staff and actor. She has performed and stage managed at OCTA for numerous shows and was previously on the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2021 as Vice President, Volunteer Coordinator, Marketing Manager, Ticketing, Production Manager, and whatever else needed doing.  After a small hiatus, Rebekah rejoined the Board of Directors in 2025.

Outside of OCTA, Rebekah has worked on productions around the KC Metro area, primarily as a Stage Manager at The Barn Players and Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park.  She has worked with Barn Jr. on their high school productions and is the Stage Manager mentor for the Emerging Theatre Professionals Initiative.  To connect her day job with her love of theatre, she also serves on the Accessible Arts of Greater Kansas City committee.

By day, Rebekah works at Alphapointe, a non-profit providing services and employment for the visually impaired, managing their Contract Management Support department  Her and her team do contract support for the Department of Defense.  Visually impaired herself, Rebekah also serves as their Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI) Advocate helping to represent the BVI community and fight for better policies and legislation for the disabled.

Oh, and if you see a dog around the theatre, that’s just Zinnia, her guide dog.
