The Cause
This cause is deeply personal to the curators. Their son Stark was born with a congenital heart defect, a ventricular septal defect (VSD). At just 5 months old, he underwent open heart surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital to attempt to close the VSD. They are forever grateful to the Children’s Mercy Cardiac Department for their lifesaving care, and this event is a way to give back. The evening will blend powerful music with personal stories to celebrate resilience, community, and hope.
