Be still my heart! OCTA audiences finally get to see the drama unfold in Mark St. Germain’s smartly written medical thriller. A cross between a court-room drama and a soap opera, this play asks the question: Who plays God? Is it the priest? The lawyer? The hospital board? The doctor? When a heart suddenly becomes available, a transplant team has to decide who lives and who continues living life on the waiting list. Find out how they grapple with the decision. THE GOD COMMITTEE is presented in honor of National Donate Life Month in April. *Full concessions are available for suggested donations of 1$ for snacks and beverages, or $2 for wine – cash appreciated.*
We invite you to consider our Defibrillator Campaign. OCTA is raising funds to install a brand new HeartSine Samaritan Public Access Defibrillator. Help us reach our $900 goal so that we can bring this life-saving device to the lobby in April during National Donate Life Month. Donations can be made online or board members will be happy to take your cash or check donation when you come see THE GOD COMMITTEE.
Bring donations for the Theatre Community Fund of KC! Needed items: rice, canned meat (tuna/chicken), Knorr meal bags, shelf stable milk, oatmeal, crackers, canned chili, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and cleaning products, or any non-perishable food items or hygiene products.
