Book by John Caird
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Directed by Julie Ewing
Music Direction by Kevin Bogan
This joyous and inspiring musical celebrates the difficulty of choice, the importance of passion, the value of questioning, and the pain in allowing those you love to take risks and face the consequences.
The director has chosen to set the show in a post-apocalyptic environment and would like to include a cast of actors ages 16 and up, including both deaf and hearing individuals of all backgrounds and genders.
Because of Covid 19, the artistic team is asking that everyone interested in auditioning do so by video, which is to be submitted to sm.coe.octa@gmail.com by midnight Sunday, May 16, 2021. Please also include the Audition Form, the Rehearsal Conflict Sheet, and your resume and headshot (if available).
Also because of Covid 19, singers are encouraged to submit the sides listed by the roles that they are most interested in, as there will be little singing at the callbacks. Actors who do not sing are asked to perform a monologue of their choice, or they may choose to perform one of the songs from the role that they are most interested in.
Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Monday, May 24 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.
